Jane Ashley is the daughter of John D. and Elizabeth Ashley. She was born to them on February 23rd, 1810 in Amite County, Mississippi. The ninth child of ten known children. She married Jonathan Jefferson Day on August 25th, 1838 in Wilkinson County, Mississippi. They had 5 known children: Clarissa Ann Victoria (my GG-grandmother), Mariah I., Robert D., Jonathan Alexander, and Hiram W.
She died on October 5th, 1858 and is buried in what is known as the Ashley 5 cemetery in Wilkinson County, Mississippi.
