Emma Laurena was born in 1881 to John Preston McCurley and Elizabeth V. Longmire in Wilkinson county, Mississippi. Emma was one of five known children. She was one of the elder children of the home.
She married William David Day on March 30th, 1905. They had six known children: Nolan Allen, Elbert Ward, Alice Marie, Mary Elizabeth, Juanita, and Alma.
Emma died in 1921 and is buried in the Day Cemetery in Rosetta, Wilkinson County, Mississippi. She is the grandmother of William Temple, my 2nd cousin once removed.
