Know all men by these presents that m ELBERT McNEIL and GRIFFIN P. CLAUGHTON are held and firmly bound unto John A. ? Acting Governor of the State of Aforesaid & by Successors in Office in the Just Sum of Two hundred Dollars for which payment well and truly to be made we bind ourselves our heirs executers & administrators, jointly & severally firmly by these presents, Sealed with our Seal and dated This 28th day of December A.D. 1835

The Condition of the above obligation is such that whereas a marriage is Shortly intended to be celebrated between the above bound ALBERT McNEIL & SUSAN CASSELS

Now if there is no Lawful Cause to obstruct Said marriage, This obligation to be void, else to remain in full force and virtue
