Dillian Shelton was born December 7th, 1885 to Winfield Scott Shelton and Annie Skudmore McMullin. His wife, Elizabeth M. Byers was born in 1893. Elizabeth was called "Lizzie". I do not have her parents. Dillian and Lizzie were married on the first day of the year in 1910 in Vincennes, Indiana.
I do not have a whole lot of information on this couple. They are closely related to my cousin, Vonette Curtis. She descends from the brother of Dillian - JZ. Shortly after they celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary, on January 18th, 1966, Lizzie lost her Dillian. Lizzie survived until 1985 when she passed away.
I do hope that with the little bit of information known about this couple that I have done them justice in this brief biography of their lives. May they rest in peace - side by side.
