This is my paternal lineage. Dad was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and raised partially by his maternal grandfather, Henry Clay King, in Mississippi. He was the oldest of three children born to his mother, Edwina King. When I was 9 years old, his mother passed away in New Orleans. I had never met her so I asked him about her and then I asked about his father. He told me his father's name was Monroe Johnson. That stayed with me....the seed of curiosity was planted. Now I'm hooked on genealogy!
