GEORGE A. KING moved to Page Co IA in 1871. His grandfather was DAVID KING, from a family on early settlers of RI. David moved to Oswego Co NY before 1830. His children were: HULDAH, DAVID, JOSEPH LEONARD and OLNEY. OLNEY was b 1793 in Coventry RI. He married AMY POTTER. Their children were ANSTISS, AMY, ALEXANDER, GEORGE A., RICHARD G., ALBERT D. In 1855 OLNEY moved to Bureay Co IL where he died in 1865. GEORGE A. was b Apr 1822 Foster RI. In 1844 he married HARRIET C CHACE who was born at Providence RI 3 Feb. 1821. They had children CHARLES H b 11 Jun 1846 and MORGIA b 14 Oct. 1849, both born at Smithfield RI. GEORGE moved to Bureau co IL also. GEORGE was in the Civil War Co K 148 IL Volunteer Infantry and received a pension for services. He moved to Page Co IA in 1871. His son CHARLES was also in the Civil War, Co F, 146 IL Vol Inf, and married ANNIE PLATT on 13 Sep 1871. His sister MORGIA, m 21 Mar 1878 to DANIEL H DEAN and lived in Chicago.
