GENERATION THREE - HENRY KING(141)

Henry King was the oldest son of Henry King(14) and was the only son not a minor in 1717. He was probably born about 1693. His wife was Ann, surname unknown. He appeared to live on land inherited from his father on Salmon Creek of Bertie County. He also inherited land on the Middle Swamp of Bennetts Creek(now Gates County) and sold this in 1744.

Henry(141) wrote his will in 1750 and died in 1755. His son, William, was born after he wrote his will, but before his death. The estate files of Henry(141) show William to still be a minor in 1768. These estate files also show that all four children received their part of the estate division later. Henry(141) used the same mark (HK) when signing his will as did his father, Henry(14)

Children of Henry(141) as shown by his will and estate papers -

     ANN KING (1412)
     PRUDENCE KING (1413)
     WILLIAM KING (1414)

GENERATION FOUR - WILLIAM KING(1414)

William King(1414) lived in the same general area of Bertie County as his father and grandfather. William wrote his will in 1787 and died in 1790. His wife was Ann, surname unknown. The will named two daughters, but not by name. The names were, however, shown in the estate papers. William was apparently rather young at the time of his death. He was born between 1750 and 1755 and was still a minor in 1768.
