Henry King (14221)(Henry4, Mich3, Henry2, Michael), born Sept 30, 1758 Duplin Co NC, d 1796/7. He was the son of Michael and Isabel King. He m Jeannette Moore, b 18 Jan 1771, dau of Col James Moore. He died in Sampson Co NC 1797. In 1807 his widow and sons moved to Rutherford Co TN. There is an extensive history in Wilson and Glover's book, p 135, which uses part of the memoirs of "Colonel James Moore King--A Southern Gentleman--1792-1877" by his son William H King (grandson of this Henry) . The children are the same as those listed by HLK. On p 136 it is mentioned that shortly after the sons left for the War of 1812, their mother married Capt Isaac Butler, a widower with sons Thomas and John Butler.

Charles King (14224) (Henry4, Michael3, Henry2, Michael), b 1753/55 Duplin Co NC, was the son of Henry King and Ann Snell. He m Penelope Whitfield. He was a soldier in Revolutionary War, Continental Line, having served in Capt John Glover's Company in Granville Co Muster Roll. He moved to Huntsville AL in 1812, where he received a land patent for his war service.

At the time of his death his wife was Hardy, surname unknown. Hardy died in 1865 so it is possible that she was not his first wife. This is copied directly from Hank's menu.

William King (15551) (Henry4, Charles3, William2, Michael) was born about 1770. He married Abigal Lee, daughter of Henry Lee and wife Sarah Sholar 17 Sep 1791 in Bertie Co NC. Went to Guilford Co. He married Sarah Allen in 1825 Guilford Co, so Abigail had died by that time. In 1833 he disposed of his land in Guilford and it is not known where he was living when he died.
